Hello from Florida
My name is Gerard Siatkowski and I live Orlando, fl, in the US. I keep many species of turtles and tortoises, softshells, river, and albinos being my main focus right now. I love all Chelonia and always try to learn as much as I can. I hope to learn a lot on here and meet some others who love what I do, too. Thanks!

Welcome Gerard!
Let's forget about turtles for a while and let's talk about some serious stuff: do you have an extra place at your home? Summer holidays are coming and Orlando would be a great choice :D :D :D
Obviously I'm just kidding....... or not? :ocio:

Re: Hello from Florida
Beautiful turtles, in particular Cycloderma aubryi!
The albino in photo4 is Terrapene carolina? And in photo2?
You also have Fly River Turtles?

Re: Hello from Florida
Thank you, everyone. The two albino pictures are my adult female and new found hatchling albino terrapene carolina ad the first and third are Cycloderma aubryi and lissemys andersoni. I should have labeled the pictures, sorry about that. Thanks for the nice welcome!

Re: Hello from Florida
hi! beautiful turtles (even though i found albino babies a bit creepy :laugh-: )! is it true that there are feral chameleons in FL?

Re: Hello from Florida
Hello, there are two species established now, Chamaeleo calyptratus and Furcifer Oustaleti. I was born and raised in Miami, only moved here in the lat two years, and the oustaleti were established 20 minutes from me. They are fun to catch but it's hard to now. The calyptratus are easier to get to and are found on the sw coast near Naples.

from an ecological point of view it's a disaster but having wild F.oustaleti 20 min from home in America must be pretty sweet! :D
I had to travel 3000 km to see wild chamaleo chamaleon in Spain!!

Re: Hello from Florida
I agree, it's not good to release non native species, ever. However, from a impact on native fauna perspective, theyre not very invasive. The tupinambis are the worst, in my opinion.
